The practice was established by local farmers as the Rotorua District Veterinary Club way back in 1944. Since then, the clinic has provided Veterinary Services to farmers throughout the Rotorua, Kaharoa, Hamurana, Mamaku, Ngakuru, Waikite, Atiamuri, Rerewhakaaitu & Reporoa areas.
The clinic is still managed under a traditional Vet Club structure, providing significant benefits to its farmer members.
In 1970 the Rotorua clinic relocated from Fenton St to new purpose built premises on the corner of Marguerita Street and White Street. The clinic formally traded under the name of Rotorua Veterinary Services however has converted back to The Vet Club and Animal Hospital.
The Reporoa clinic was established in 1993 on the corner of Guthie Street and Broadlands Road. This clinic trades under the name of The Vet Club Reporoa.
