Dr Craig Kusabs(BVSc)
Staff Pic -Craig
Craig is the CEO of the Club and as such is the vital link between the staff and the Board of Directors. Since taking over as CEO he has been on a steep learning curve, but he has dealt with it well and the clinic is going from strength to strength. His 12 years of mixed animal experience have provided him with excellent surgical skills and enable him to sneak in a few consults and farm visits when things are busy to help out the other vets. He is the father of Kieran and Alec and his wife Mary often helps out in the Rotorua clinic reception.
Dr Anna Goodman (BVMS)
Staff Pic - Anna
Anna joined us at the vet club in March 2006 bringing a wealth of small animal clinical and surgical experience. After graduating from Edinburgh University she has worked around the world including the UK, Borneo, Australia and three years in Auckland. She moved to Rotorua with her husband for a lifestyle change as they are passionate mountain bikers, surfers and skiers. Anna is currently completing a Masters in Veterinary Science with a special interest in ophthalmology, gastroenterology and clinical pathology.
Dr Chris McKenzie (BVSc)
Staff Pic - Chris
Chris has been fronting the small animal clinic for the last four years. Chris started his veterinary career in the Hawkes Bay, before moving with his wife and family to Rotorua in 2004. He has successfully developed the small animal clinic to become a busy thriving part of the vet club practicing a high standard of veterinary medicine and surgery. Never short of a practical joke or three, he keeps the nurses on their toes.
Dr Edith Brascamp (BVSc)
Staff Pic - Edith
Edith joined the Vet Club in 2006 as a part time small animal veterinarian. Originally from Rotorua, she has returned here after gaining several years experience working at a busy Tauranga clinic. Edith is enjoying her return to work after the birth of her daughter Lily and is loving the lifestyle that Rotorua offers. In November 2007 Edith successfully completed a Massey postgraduate paper in Clinical Pathology.
Dr Rachel Anderson (BVSc)
Staff Pic - Edith
Rachel joined the vet club in March 2008 and is based mainly at the Ngongotaha branch. She started life as a vet in Taranaki working with dairy cows before locuming in the UK for 3 and a half years. There she treated a variety of species including rats, gerbils and rabbits. She did however decline to treat the constipated snake that slithered into her consult room one day ! Since coming back to New Zealand to get married she has continued to work in mixed animal practice in the Wellington and Horowhenua regions concentrating on her main interest of small animal medicine. She really enjoys the friendliness of Rotorua people and is hoping to make the most of the great location for training for a triathlon.
